Karkas is a display modular typeface inspired by the poster compositions and decorative lettering of Vasyl Krychevsky. Karkas font combines geometric construction with ornamental softness, reinterpreting early Ukrainian modernist aesthetics through a contemporary modular type.

Its characters are built from simplified structural elements, creating a rhythmic contrast between sharp horizontals and flowing curves. Karkas retains a strong visual harmony and a distinctly decorative character.

It's is a font for posters, cultural identities, book covers, packaging, editorial headlines, and projects that seek a connection between Ukrainian visual heritage and modern graphic design.

The typeface was designed by Anna Kovalenko in 2024.
